Terms of Service

Article 1. Purpose

These Terms of Service (hereinafter 'Terms') govern the conditions and procedures for using the VisaCheck service (hereinafter 'Service'), and define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of the Company and the User.

Article 2. Service Providers and Roles

  1. The planning, operation, customer management (CX), and website operation of this Service are handled by Policy Observatory Co., Ltd. (hereinafter 'Company').
  2. Administrative agency tasks — including preparation of visa change applications, document review, and in-person submission at Immigration Offices — are performed by My Personal Administrative Attorney Office (hereinafter 'Agent Office'). The Agent Office is registered with the Ministry of Justice as an authorized immigration service agency pursuant to Article 79-2 of the Immigration Act.
  3. Payment for the Service is collected under the name of the Agent Office. By using the Service, the User agrees to this arrangement.

Article 3. Service Description

The Company offers the following plans:

  1. Document Prep: Preparation and review of documents required for visa status change, including the Integrated Application Form and Job-Seeking Activity Plan. Available nationwide.
  2. Visit & Submit: Review of user-prepared documents and in-person submission at the Immigration Office by a licensed agent. Available for Seoul residents only.
  3. All-in-One Package: A combined service including both Document Prep and Visit & Submit. Available for Seoul residents only.

Article 4. Eligibility

This Service is intended for foreign nationals who meet all of the following conditions:

(1) Currently holds a D-2 (Student) visa

(2) Has obtained, or is expected to obtain within the current semester, an associate degree or higher from a university in Korea

(3) Is applying for a first-time change to D-10-1 (Job-Seeking) visa status

Article 5. Payment

  1. The User must pay the service fee corresponding to the selected plan prior to visa application submission.
  2. In addition to the service fee, government fees (visa status change fee of KRW 100,000 + ARC reissue fee of KRW 35,000 = KRW 135,000) are borne by the User and are submitted through the Agent Office at the time of application.
  3. Payment is accepted via bank transfer or cash in Korean Won (KRW) only.
  4. All payments are collected by the My Personal Administrative Attorney Office

Article 6. Refund Policy

  1. Government fees (visa status change fee and ARC reissue fee) are paid to the government and are non-refundable under all plans.
  2. Document Prep and All-in-One plans: If the visa change application is rejected by the Immigration Office based on documents prepared and reviewed by the Company and Agent Office, the service fee shall be fully refunded.
  3. Visit & Submit plan: This plan provides proxy submission of documents prepared by the User. The User is responsible for the content and adequacy of their documents. Accordingly, the service fee is non-refundable even if the visa change application is rejected.
  4. Refunds may be limited regardless of the plan if the rejection is attributable to the User (e.g., submission of false documents, failure to respond, failure to provide required information).
  5. If the User requests cancellation before the visa application is submitted, the service fee shall be fully refunded.

Article 7. User Obligations

  1. The User shall provide accurate and complete documents and information required for the visa change process.
  2. The Company and Agent Office shall not be liable for any disadvantages caused by the User's provision of false information or failure to submit required documents within the specified deadline.
  3. The User shall cooperate with the Manager's guidance, including scheduling in-person meetings and delivering documents as instructed.

Article 8. Company Obligations

  1. The Company and Agent Office shall use the User's personal information and documents solely for the purpose of processing the visa change, and shall protect such information in accordance with applicable laws.
  2. The Company shall provide the User with timely updates on the progress of the service.
  3. Upon completion of visa application submission, the Company shall provide the User with a copy of the receipt.

Article 9. Disclaimer

  1. The final decision on visa change approval rests with the Immigration Office. The Company and Agent Office do not guarantee approval.
  2. The Company shall not be liable for damages caused by circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to force majeure, government policy changes, or delays at the Immigration Office.

Article 10. Privacy

The Company processes personal information collected for the provision of the Service in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act and other applicable laws, and provides details through a separate Privacy Policy.

Article 11. Dispute Resolution

  1. These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
  2. Any disputes arising from the use of the Service shall be submitted to the court having jurisdiction over the location of the Company's headquarters.

Article 12. Amendment of Terms

The Company may amend these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. Any amendments shall be announced on the website at least 7 days prior to the effective date.
